I am currently awaiting trial for a DUI which is my 3rd or 4th offense. Not sure how it will be charged. I was asked to help locate a person who "skipped" out on bond by my bail bondsman, I asked around once for an address & now I have been threatened with a gun held in my face. I did not tun them in because I'm afraid. I am also afraid if I go to jail my life will be in danger. What can help me or will the law help protect me with this. What about court ordered "rehab" in lieu of jail?? Away from this area....

I have been arrested 4 times in 2 yrs 8 months, One of my DUI's I was not charged with. My last DUI I refused the breathalyzer but passed my field sobriety test. Also I am on probation curently in another county for my last DUI. What can I expect as far as sentencing? Is jail time or court ordered alcohol rehab inevitable?
You need to retain a defense attorney.

Victim of an Overzealous Officer but DUI Reduced: What will typically show on a background inquiry by a potential employer?
Hi, I live in Alabama, and last year I was cited for speeding 95 (70) and DUI in Georgia. My case ended with a plea of nolo conten. to reckless with 1y none reporting probation, fine, and an alcho. evaluation. Is this typical? The prosecutor requested to go on record stating the State did not see sufficient evidence to prove intoxication or overly reckless driving behavior after the fact of course, as by video I passed non-standard FSTs (excluding breath) and no state BAC tests were conducted. This made me think I was sorta pigeonholed to plea. I am having trouble finding work and wonder if the reduced charge/ probation may be the culprit. I have an offer on the table to work at a local state college but its pending a BG check. Will my circumstance disqualify me for this opportunity?
Every job sets its own requirements. I do not think we can answer this question without knowing what the qualifications are.
Arrested for DUI 2 years ago. The Judge gave administrative prosecution I think it was called. Paid fines and school, etc. He told me that after one year with no more trouble the case would be nolle prossed. I came back to city hall one year later and was given a statement which stated: Status: Case Closed- NOL PROS which was dated on year from the court date. I went to the Dept of Public Safety in Montgomery to get if removed (the suspension) from my record. I had read SECT 32-5A304 (c) second sentence. My understanding was if a case is nolle prossed , dismissed or acquitted the administrative suspension should be removed from my driving record. The State trooper in that office told me that I could not get it removed. Were they right? If not , what can I do.
Code of Alabama, 1975, section 32-5A-304(c) requires the Department of Public Safety to remove any entry made in...
I recently moved from Alabama to Georgia but haven't gotten my Georgia driver's license. I was arrested for DUI in Georgia with my Alabama license. I plead guilty to the DUI charge and my Alabama license was taken, as Georgia has a minimum revocation of 120 days. I want to apply for a "hardship license", or limited driving privileges, in Georgia. DDS says that they can grant me one as long as my Alabama privileges are not suspended as well. Upon getting this information, neither Georgia nor Alabama had record of my conviction, so I'm just trying to make preparations. Would my driving privileges in Alabama be suspended as well? Will there be additional fines in the state of Alabama? If so, do I find that out from Alabama DMV or another source?
Most states are members of the Interstate Driver's License Compact. Under the Compact, each state will honor a...
