The arrest warrant states 16-year-old Joshua Dunte Ingram, who was named publically because he is being charged as an adult, waited for the victim in one of the school stairways, opening a door for her. Cobb County District Attorney Vic Reynolds announced that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation will investigate the officer-involved shooting that occurred in Smyrna on March 25. "The Cobb District Attorney's Office and the Cobb County Police Department have requested the GBI to conduct an independent investigation of the March 25, 2015 shooting incident in Smyrna, Ga.," Reynolds said. "In the spirit of transparency and openness, both agencies have made this request with the support of the Smyrna Police Department. Comment?

Police say officers were in fear for their lives as Nicholas Thomas drove towards them, but Thomas' family wants an outside investigation.
