He has 7 felonies ranging from drugs to fraud charges. And has served time in prison. The last time he was in jail ( 2 years ago) he was looking at 25 years to life, but he fortunately his lawyer was able to get him probation and. He has been on the random drug test, but still on probation. He has also broke his probation by going to another state for a weekend without approval. I was wondering if anyone knew how much time he could be facing. He does not have money for a personal lawyer this time and his bond is for 10k Cash bond
If he violated his probation, he is liable for that amount of time plus any time on the new charges. He may be charged...
I am a married mother of 4. I want to start a free designated driver service in my small town to reduce the number of drunk driving fatalities in my area. I currently provide my service for FREE (I do on rare occasions receive tips) by picking the intoxicated person and driving them in their own car to their home while my husband follows us in our own car, thus getting them and their car home safe while staying safe myself by having my husband follow and so i can get back in our car and go to the next call. There is a huge demand, however for putting intoxicated people in my vehicle and giving them a ride home. This ride would also be FREE, but I was wondering if I need a Taxi License and/or PUC number to be able to put people in my vehicle to get them home safe? Please help me!!!
I wish I could give you a definite answer because I really appreciate what you are trying to do. The law defines a...
I had a run in with the police officer at 8pm the same night, he told my husband and I he would find a way to arrest us for anything if he could. Later in the evening, I had finished the finals in barrels and had a few beers. My car was parked at the barn and the lady I had a few beers with must have called it in because the same cop of earlier meetings pulled me over just as I was turning home. He immediately said my name and asked if i was the one he talked to earlier, then said i smelt like beer and gave me a sobriety test, he said he felt i did not perform well and arrested me. he gave me summons for dui, open container, no insurance (i gave it to him and he said it was a piece of paper) which it was not. he also took my registration and never returned it. help....

what procedural mistakes can an officer make that would cause a refusal of a bloodtest to become invalid?
I believe you posted this same question yesterday. This is a very complicated area and not suited for discussion on...
What are some procedural mistakes an officer can make that can invalidate a refusal to take a blood test in the state of Colorado?
The person being under 21 does not entitle them to talk to a parent. You can not really invalidate a refusal. It is for...
I refused a chemical test on the side of the road and in the back of the police cruiser without talking to a lawyer. I was taken to jail. Before I was booked I told the officer that I consented to a breath test. He told me that he had already given me enough chances and that he would not allow it. Then he asked me to sign some express consent form and I refused to sign it without a lawyer because the refusal box was already checked. I am just wondering if there will be a chance for me to bring this up at my DMV hearing and maybe save my license. I learned from a previous post on this site to apply for a hearing so that's what I did. My report even says I consented at the station but the officer had already given me enough chances. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
The best advice I can give is to talk to a DUI attorney. So many issues can arise in these types of cases and they are...
Ok I had a interlock in my car last year. My car was broke down and I didn't have the money to fix it. I took it to the juck yard. Called the DMV,interlock company that same day. I have poof of calling them. I have been out of work. Then I had two hearings last month. The first one the hearings officer said that he didn't have my proof. Then I called his suppervisor and he told me that he will tell him where my proof was. A week later i have a hearings and the officer said since keeped the interlock 2 months after I got rid of the car cuz I was out of state. I was guilty of 42-2-132.5 I just got a job. I want to fight this in appeals court and to be able to get a car with a interlock. So how hard would it be to win in court?
There are time deadlines within which to appeal a DMV Hearing decision. You need to go and talk to a DUI attorney as...
