My sister went to county jail in Pennsylvania for unpaid fines. Now, she had a retainer on her to keep her in jail because of unpaid housing arrest money. She was due to be released on the 21st of December, but they wanted to 500 for the first months of house arrest on the 20th of December. When my mother contacted the probation officer and had asked if he could wait 10 days until she had the money to pay for the first month of house arrest, he declined. So on the day of the 21st came, they took her that morning and sentenced her. She has been in the county jail since December 4th 2012.
