If at 20 years old you had a DUI do you have to say that you had one when completing employee applications
When he was at college(20 years old) he was driving and a lady hit him they exchange info and went along. an hour later the police showed up and gave him a test and arrested him for DUI. He appeared the next day and plead guilty. Now that its off of his driving record when he fills out employment records does he have to say yes when asked if he has ever had a DUI? Can he get this removed being he was under age? This happened in Columbia MO . Thanks
It depends what the disposition was and what the question on the employment application is. If it has been 10 years,...
My license was revoked for a dui. I have served the time without my license and what is the easiest way to get it back
I attended state paid rehab and have not had a drink for over 2 years. I attend AA regularly and yet I can't seem to get my license back. What kind of a lawyer should I hire to fix this and what cost is involved?
This is difficult to answer without knowing your full criminal/administrative history. The easiest thing for you to do...
What is the likeliness/cost of winning this DUI Case, please help! (What procedures should I take for my court appearance)
I was recently arrested for "Driving While Intoxicated: Marijuana" in violation of 342.020 in the City of Olivette, Missouri. I was pulled over due to a headlight being out. When asking for my Identification and proof of insurance he asked if I had done any drinking or smoking tonight. Answering no, he asked to search my car because he could smell marijuana on me. He then issued a sobriety test, where I took the "One Leg Test" "Walk and Turn" "Horizontal Gaze" and Alphabet/Number test. Finally he asked me to breathe into a breathalyzer which I refused and then proceeded in his procedure to arrest me. After all this my license has been suspended as of now, and I'm facing the charge of a DWI. I am a student, employed, not charged with procession, and was only pulled over due to my headlight.
I suggest you get an attorney immediately. Try using Avvo's "find-a-lawyer" feature to find a qualified attorney in...
Hi, I sent in the application for an out of state hearing with Il s.o.s I live in Manchester MO. Everything was accepted and told I would have an answer in 180 days then received a letter saying I live within 30 miles of the border and my file was processed incorrectly and in error and disregard previous letter and I must come in for a formal hearing unless good cause is shown explaining why I cannot attend due to either economic, physical or medical reasons. Inconvenience does not constitute good cause. In my application I explained my son was in the latter stages of lung rejection from a double lung transplant from his cystic fibrosis. My son passed in sept. But even know I can not afford to take off work I will lose my job. Who do I explain this clearly so it is acceptable?
You need to direct your inquiry to Kate Jordan who is the head of out of state. Argue t that you have economic hardship.
I just got my LDP yesterday and today I got pulled over and given a speeding ticket by a Missouri state trooper. (78 in a 60) I understand that if I can get the ticket amended to a non moving violation, the Department of Revenue will not be notified and I will not get my hardship license revoked. However, since I am driving on with LDP after getting 2 DUI convictions, and just granted this LDP so recently, how likely is it that I will be able to get the ticket amended? I had not driven for two years of a 5 year revocation and will not be fully reinstated until 2017. Please help.
In many of the local jurisdictions, getting a speeding ticket amended to a non-moving violation is a very...

Would this affect or even be an asset in defense of this current charge? He apparently assulted a client and had a felony possesion charge. I only used him for this 1st dwi charge 13 years ago..
Based on what you wrote, no. You should hire a licensed Missouri criminal defense attorney to assist you with this new...
Im from st. Louis and recently came for a visit to look at the school. While I was down there I ended up at a pub crawl and next thing I know I guess I made a bad decision. I parked not even a block down the street from a dwi check point and bam. I blew sadly as and and did their sobriety tests. I realize I pretty much screwed myself but if I'm gonna pay for a lawyer I'm hoping they can get it off my record. I'm a young college student with big dreams, I don't want this to affect how many people I can impact in my life and I don't know if I could become a school counselor with this on my record. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
