I thought Texas gives you a 41 day driving permit before suspension on dwi refusal testing??
In some jurisdictions, the license is not suspended until there has actually been a conviction. You should use this...
It happened in a rural town outside of Clarksville, TX (Red River County) and I live in Plano, TX about 2 hours away. I'm concerned that a lawyer here wouldn't have the upperhand in the form of connections that others from that area would. Does this play an important factor?
I suggest that you hire an attorney with experience in the court where the case will be prosecuted. However, this is...
I got my car stuck in a ditch and I had to ditch my car because I had a few drinks before the happening. It was towed to a storage and towing facility.
It is possible that you may face charges of leaving the scene of an accident, if you admit to driving, but that is...
I have not been convicted. I'm still in a discovery stage of it with my attorney. Just curious if it will show up on my background check considering I have not been convicted.

I've have several UA's, and all were 100% clean. So I don't understand what the problem is. If it doesn't fail any of the "testing for" medications/substances, why is it an issue? Is she allowed (legally) to make decisions for my medical treatment?
Your PO is not a doctor and has no say in your medical care. As long as the medications are prescribed to you and you...
What are the chances of me being able to stay out of jail?
Not good, unless you can win an acquittal on this one.
This is my very first DWI, and I plan on pleading no contest. I was wondering if I needed to hire an attorney or if it'd be okay to use the court appointed attorney.
It's up to you. Do you want a lawyer who has time to speak to you and spend time on your case? Hire a lawyer. If you...
