A friend of mine got a dui in california hes illegal and is waiting to go to court, is he going to get deported?
he paid a fine of $2000 dollars and already went thru the classes they tell you to go to.. now a lawyer needs to represent him on court on december. he was driving on the freeway when he got pulled over and got a DUI he got arrested and was out of jail the next day.
Seems strange that he has had to pay fines before being convicted.... That being said, your friend should try to get...
How is it that someone can continue to get a second DUI extended three times for pretrial and received the DUI June 2013
How is it that someone can continue to get a second DUI extended three times for pretrial and received the second DUI June 2013 - and it now won't be till June 2014 almost a year later an still nothing has been done. I don't quite understand how California can continue to let this go on. I thought your second DUI the sentence was much stiffer....why would it take over a year for them to close a case.......
A case can be continued until both parties have concluded negotiations and are ready to go to trial. The second...
Please note that I understand that any answers to this question are not intended to guarantee or predict an outcome. This question assumes a "guilty" or "no contest" plea. With these facts in mind, what might one expect from the Fontana courthouse? *Single vehicle collision *Driver sustained injuries *No other persons involved *No property damage *No speed enhancement *No refusal *Possible BAC of over 0.20 *No other drugs *First offense *Over 21 *Clean driving record I would specifically like to know how much jail time, if any, might be realistic. Also, if the BAC is over 0.20, are there ways for an attorney to shorten the DUI class from 9 months to 3? Finally, might the court take voluntarily attended AA meetings into account during sentencing?
I'm in Fontana pretty regularly. Here's a link to what you can probably expect: http://murillolawfirm.com/dui-...
2 years ago I got a DUI. However, criminal court dismissed it as a reject because I was at legal limit. But the DMV still kept me as having a DUI. now my question is how long will it take for it to get dismissed if I was not convicted of it through the courts, and I have read that I can get it dismissed if I asked the Judge, but I don't have a court to go to and ask a judge to remove it from my record,so how can I try and get it off my record. Thank you!
At least three answers: 3 years for driving points record and insurance 10 years that it can be used against you as a...
I was in an accident almost 3 months ago, injuries were involved to the both of us, but only a single car accident. There was alcohol involved almost double the legal limit for the state of CA. I was admitted to ICU and my statement was taken, but no where on the police report was I cited, in addition I was never arrested. Is there a statue of limitation for this?
It's "statute." as in law, not "statue," as in ".... of Liberty." The statute of limitations for most misdemeanors...
Am I going to have to get an IID (Ignition Interlock Device) installed in my vehicle for my first DUI?
Recently got my first DUI Nov 8, 2013 got court on March 11, 2014 in Riverside, CA. My license is suspended & I'm currently working on getting my restricted license. Already have my SR-22 just need to enroll to the first offender program so I can get the restricted license from the DMV. I want to know if the court is going to require me to install an IID in my vehicle when it comes to that day? My friend said that is only required for 2nd offenders but my insurance agent said it is now required for first offenders in California. What I'm I facing at court? Don't know if I need an lawyer. My record is clean, attend college & work.
So far, Riverside hasn't started imposing the IID on first offenders outside of their pilot counties. As far as my...
Can I take the First offender program before my court date? Also I'm I going to have to retake it once I'm convicted?
Got a DUI Nov 8 in Riverside & court isn't til March 3, I'm on hard suspension right now til Jan 9 but I want to get a restricted license to drive to work. I know I have to enroll into the first offender program and get an SR-22 (Which I already have). What I want to know if I do enroll into the DUI class before my court date & I get convicted will I have to retake the class again once I'm convicted? I don't want to be throwing away money & I want to get these classes out of the way and take everything care of ahead of time.
You can enroll in the program for dmv purposes without a court order to do so. If convicted of a DUI, depending on how...
