BLOOMINGTON >> A sheriff's deputy shot at a man several times but missed, striking at least one home in the neighborhood where the confrontation occurred. About 1:45 p.m. Friday a deputy from the sheriff's Fontana station drove to the 18100 block of Mindanao Street, where a man was fighting with others, a 9-1-1 caller said, according to a Sheriff's Department news release. Comment?

A 31-year-old man who threatened to kill a San Bernardino County sheriff's deputy was arrested but only after deputies unsuccessfully fired a handgun, used a stun gun and shot bean bag rounds in an attempt to subdue him, authorities said Sunday. On Friday around 1:45 p.m., sheriff's deputies were alerted in two 911 calls that Tommy Anderson was fighting with people at a residence in the 18100 block of Mindano Street in Bloomington, the sheriff's department said in a news release.
