A man has been sentenced to 15A1 2 to 31 years in a shootout at an eastern Pennsylvania social club that killed a woman and injured other people two years ago. Thirty-four-year-old Rene Figueroa of Allentown was sentenced Friday in Northampton County on an involuntary manslaughter conviction in the December 2012 shooting outside Bethlehem's Puerto Rican Beneficial Society. One of four men charged in a series of robberies in Allentown and Bethlehem was sentenced last month to state prison. An Allentown teen in a stolen dump truck led Salisbury Township police on a chase Monday on Interstate 78, swerving several times in an attempt to knock the officers off his path, according to court records. Karl Gustav Wolfram IV, 18, of the 1100 block of Lichtenwalner Avenue, was arrested after crashing when he got off the highway. Comment?

After a Christmas Eve party at his home, an intoxicated Bethlehem man early Thursday pulled a woman's hair, grabbed her throat and jabbed her in the neck with a sharp instrument, police said. Jose A. Alfaro-Yanes, 37, of the 800 block of Pembroke Road, was arrested about 3:05 a.m. after the woman's son phoned 911 to report "a man was trying to kill a woman with a knife," according to the police arrest affidavit.
