I was recently arrested for a DUI, my breathalyzer results were .09 - Once arrested, my blood was drawn for further analysis. Do I need to be concerned about the blood test results? Or are breathalyzer results typically congruent with blood analysis?
It really depends on many scientific factors. Just a few to start with are whether your alcohol level was going up or...
I was pulled over for speeding. The CHP asked if I had been drinking and I said I had one drink. They did a sobriety test and breathalyzer and then arrested me. I was breathalyzed again at the station and it was .11. I spent the night in jail. The cops were extremely nice to me and said I might not get charged with a full DUI. They didn't give me a speeding ticket, just the DUI. I'm extremely nervous about my court date, but I can't afford a lawyer. I'm just not sure what to expect. Any info you have would be most appreciated!
You'll be fine. If you qualify for the public defender, enter a not guilty plea and let the public defender do his or...
I was arrested under suspicion of DUI last night and took a blood test. I have a court date in a month and would like to find out my results before I go to see what legal actions I need to take. Also, I would like to visit my family before then, but I wasn't sure if I'm allowed to leave the state before my court date. I'll be back for my court date though.
Sometimes DMV will give your attorney your blood results, but they are usually not ready for a number of weeks. If...
September 2010: Wet Reckless. November 2010: DUI (original Wet Reckless from September then turned into a DUI) May 2011: Driving with a suspended driver's license Completed all of my court-ordered obligations. Fees and fines paid in full. Three misdemeanors altogether within a 9-month period or so. NO priors besides two speeding tickets and some parking citations. I'll have completed 2 bachelor's degrees by June 2014. Looking to get into a law program by 2016. Should I still pursue this?
Its possible that you could become a lawyer though this isn't certain. As you know attorneys must demonstrate their...
I received a DUI citation on December 7, 2012. It is now May and I have not gone to court yet. My court date is set for July 24, 2013. I did have my DMV hearing on February 4, 2013. According to the results of the DMV hearing I can get my license back on June 24, 2013 if I have not yet been charged by the courts. So my question is, if I start taking a DUI class, and then apply for my license in June will the courts re revoke my license ? Or will I be able to keep it?
In fact, you may have been able to get your license back on a restricted basis approximately March 24, 2013. At that...

Get your license if you are charged with a DUI and are convicted you'll just end up with an extended restricted...
I was arrested for a DUI in Alameda County , California . I was driving over the speed limit with a . 09 bac . This is my first offense , I have a clean driving and criminal record , I was respectful to the arresting officers , I am a high school teacher . This is already going to cost me an arm and a leg . I cringe at the 1 - 2K that an attorney will cost me , especially if it is fairly standard to give first time low BAC offenders a wet reckless anyway . My question : is it possible or advisable to ask the DA at the arraignment whether a Wet Reckless deal is possible before I retain an attorney ? I am at peace with the fact that I am not going to get the charges dismissed , but I am also a good defendant and have no past record of bad behavior so I do feel somewhat deserving of a reduction .
It depends how well you can negotiate your case and what the facts of the case are.
