What was the minimal charge for a DWI back in 1996? Is there a way to reduce the charge from a Misdeamor class B to a C
I was charged with my 1st and last DWI after a death of a family member in 1996 I had returned to get my associate's degree but had not been useful since I have a class B misdeamor - which creates a road block ( I had a mutal combat assault expunged prior to my DWI arrest) And I have to carry the sheet from the county and DPS showing it's not a felony ) this occurred in 1996)
This surprises me because I have doctors, lawyers, and CEOs whose jobs remain unaffected by misdemeanor DWI convictions....
Is this a decent out come on a DWI Case in Austin Texas?
90 ALR Suspsension already served, so at no contest plea ALR credit, 10 Days in Jail, credit for 1 day @ 2 for 1. No fine, court costs $475. DWI involved a vehicular accident with another car, the BAC was .16
You need to talk with your attorney about this. If you do not have one, then hire one.
How can i get my blood test results for a DWI case?
I was arrested on 12/07/ 2014 for DWI, but i don't think I was drunk. After three weeks DPS sent me my Driver License for unknown reason. but suddenly i received a court date. I tried to get my blood test from DPS by email , but they tell me there are no records in my name. i think the results should be in my favor if i could somehow get the results. thanks
Your lawyer will be able to get the results once you are in court. HIRE ONE. You do NOT want to go through this on...
First Time dwi blood came back 2x the limit lawyer said no fighting is that true after hours of sleep hours of waiting to test
Was stopped at 730 am after a night out. Slept for at least 4 to 5 hours woke up and headed home was stopped cause it was a holiday was arrested and taken to hospital to give blood hours later 5 months now they said test showed 2x the limit but I find that to be untrue and the lawyer I have said there's no fighting it I find that hard to believe
I hate to be the one to tell you this, but if your lawyer truly said "there's no fighting it" then he's wrong. There...
How can I be charged with a DWI When I was not driving at the time ?
I ran out of gas and pulled over so I walked to the gas station for help but unfortunately the gas station was closed and then a cop shows up after 20 minutes and arrests me for a DWI when I was no where near my car. Also, I blew a .16, could I face the same consequences as a second offense DWI? This is a dumb question I know but everyone is telling me I should fight this case since I was not in my car at the time
You should ABSOLUTELY fight it. With the right lawyer, DWI's (especially breath test cases - the Intoxilyzer 5000 is a...
Does my daughter have to personally appear in court for dui in Chicago?
My daughter received a dui in Chicago for driving under the influence of KUSH. She did not show back up for court and had D License suspended. Can she be represented by attorney to plead guilty or must she travel from Texas to appear in person. Thank you very much
Change your address to Chicago to get answers from lawyers there. Texas lawyers will not know the answer.
How hard is it to get a DWI dismissed in Galveston?
I was pulled over for hitting a curb and having a flat tire. When pulled over I told the cop I was very tired and that I was lost. He had me do a field sobriety test and asked if I was willing to take a breath test. After I agreed to the breathalyzer he told me I didn't have to take it so I told him that if I didn't have to take it then I wouldn't. I was booked into jail and had my arraignment the next day. He explained to me I was driving on the wrong side of the road before I hit the curb. I'm not sure how bad my case is or how not taking the breath test will affect me. I thought it was strange that he told me I didn't have to take it after I had already agreed to it.
It is impossible to say definitively whether or not this case can be dismissed. DWI's are not something to take lightly....
