I was arrested about 9 months ago for DUI. I got out and was placed on probation for 2 years with all the other community service, drug/alcohol eval, etc. About 4-5 months ago I was living with my girlfriend and one night I took her and her friends out for a girls night out. Long story short, after a night out on the town led to a verbal argument, I was in jail. My girlfriend called the police and told a lie that had me in jail for 3 days before I was placed on pre trial release. Eventually the charges were dropped, however the judge in Cobb County GA still wants me to come and turn myself in for VOP. Anything I can do. I am 23, independent and trying to help take care of myself and my aunt who is in the worst of health. Also, I have a job now so I want a way around all of this.
You should seek a court appointed attorney. Or you can call one of the legal aid clinics. Lone Star Legal Aid is one...
What was the minimal charge for a DWI back in 1996? Is there a way to reduce the charge from a Misdeamor class B to a C
I was charged with my 1st and last DWI after a death of a family member in 1996 I had returned to get my associate's degree but had not been useful since I have a class B misdeamor - which creates a road block ( I had a mutal combat assault expunged prior to my DWI arrest) And I have to carry the sheet from the county and DPS showing it's not a felony ) this occurred in 1996)
This surprises me because I have doctors, lawyers, and CEOs whose jobs remain unaffected by misdemeanor DWI convictions....

I am 23 years old and a female and I just received my second DWI in Harris County,TX, how much time is it LIKELY for me to get?
I did not have an accident. I was bonded out so I surrendered my bond so I could use the time I was serving on my probation violation (because it was revoked due to me getting a DWI on it) I served 34 days with a credit of 10 more days. I was not drunk, it was my prescription medication which I showed them proof of. I'm also terrified that I will lose my license for 2 years this time and I need to work and go to school. I need help. I have a lawyer but he doesn't even try nor has he called me in over a month and a half and I have court in 5 days. Please help me! Thank you!!
It is best for you to work with your attorney and have them answer these questions. If you are unhappy with your...
I was convicted for second DWI and received two years probation. I have completed one year as of mid-October 2013.
I have been successful with the Interlock in my vehicle (almost 15 months). Any violations have not been my fault and I’ve always blew a 000 in a reasonable amount of time to prove I wasn't under the influence of alcohol when the violations have happened. I have completed all the requirements of my probation as well as paid my fine in full. Would I contact the court to see if I can have the interlock removed or should I have an attorney act on my behalf?
You need to be sure that you know what the interlock provider will tell the court and confirm that the court already...
CAN A POLICE OFFICER DESTROY EVIDENCE OF A WITNESS THAT WAS VIDEOING TAPING THE FIELD TEST, WITHOUT RECOURSE?

There should be an in-car video of the tests. I don't know why the officer would care about your wife's video. It's not...
While under green card status, I caused a car accident due to a DWI/DUI. A $10,000 claim was submitted to my insurance company and I was found guilty and placed on probation for 1 year. I completed the probation successfully in July 2013 and don't have any prior or new convictions since the incident (this DUI/DWI is the only mark on my record). Does this fall under having bad *moral character* and what are the chances I will be denied citizenship if I apply? Also, if denied, my record with USCIS will show my application was denied, how does that affect me if I apply again 5 yrs from July 2013? I have read that having just a DUI/DWI isn't always considered BMC depending in the state you apply. However, having a DWI/DUI with causing an injury to another can be considered BMC.
When processing applications for Naturalization, USCIS pays close attention to criminal history. Having a DUI/DWI is a...
