Ive spoken with an attorney and unfortunately cannot afford one to go to my arraignment. I dont know what to plea because they only ticketed me for the breathalizer and nothing else. They also marked off no culpable mental state. This is my first criminal offence. Should I still plea "not guilty" even though I blew a .07 which says I had alcohol in my system. I know, I should get an attorney, but if you were in my sitaution and couldnt afford one what would you do?

Hello, I got 1st DUI last night (28th Dec) with 0.12 Alcohol content. Hopefully will go for DUI Diversion program for 1 year. 1. Will it affect my OPT - Extension procedure, Because my OPT will expire this May. So i need to apply by March or May for extension. Or 2. Should I go for H1B process this April, Will it affect my H1B processing through Full Time Employer. Is there any chance USCIS denied my either of these case, Please help which is a good option to go with. Please help me with these.
It should have no effect on your current status, nor on any application for change of status.
I got a DUI, but when I showed up I got one of those "No Complaint" papers. Immediately after I went to the DMV to get my license replaced, and was able to do so. A couple days before the court date I got a paper in the mail saying the DMV will NOT suspend my license, but the Sherriff's office or whoever does it still can. I know this means that they still can call me to get another court date. My question is how often does that happen? I am underage (20), and I blew half the legal limit (.08) which I know doesn't matter due to my age. I just want to know if I should be expecting another court date or if I can move on.
The DA's office can still recharge up to two years later. After that they are barred by the statute of limitations. Sorry

Late at night in small town, unfamiliar area. Stopped for DUI-- driving slowly, I was lost & trying to read street signs. Made me take a "field sobriety test", I am sure I passed. Saw my prescription meds in my car. I admitted to 4 oz wine 6 hrs prior w/ a large meal, which was truthful. I admitted to taking 1/2 dose of my migraine abortive drug 6 hrs after the wine, which doesn't impair my driving-taken for 17 years. Took field sobriety test due to threat of jail, & dog in my apt. They let me drive away alone, knowing I had 30" more driving to get home, gave me directions. They claimed I did not pass the FST due to the drugs. No breathalyzer, no arrest. Gave a traffic citation. Can they come back at me later? Implied I'd gamed the FST. I've never seen or done FST prior
There's really nothing to be gained from worrying about it. It sounds like you dodged a bullet. Pay the citation. If...
