Battle Ground Law

He was the only one involved. No injury or damage to anyone or thing other than himself and his vehicle. He is 16 years old and alcohol level was .283 which I know is extremely high. He has never ever been involved in any bad behavior, he is a great student and athlete. I need to know what my options are to protect his future as I know this is a very serious offence. We live in the state of Washington which is where the accidient happened but he also lives part time with his father in Oregon which is where he and the vehicle were liseanced. Please help....
It is important to contact an attorney immediately to discuss your case. Without the facts of the case it is hard to...
I got a Minor DUI about a month ago, and I'm trying to get it reduced to an MIP and also get a diversion. This is the first time I have ever gotten in trouble with the law. The prosecuting attorney offered to reduce it to negligent driving, and 5 days work crew with some fines. The thing is, negligent driving stays on my record and I'm only 17 so I can't do work crew, so I would have to go to jail for at least one day, which I'm trying to avoid. I cannot afford a lawyer but I don't qualify for a court appointed one. I did have a consult with a lawyer though, but I still have some questions. Since I am trying to plea the charges down myself, how would I go about trying to do this? More specifically, what kind of things could I present to the prosecuting attorney or the judge, to prove that I'm a good kid and that I'm not going to do this again, that could help me plea it down?
If there are no proof problems in the case, a Neg2 is not a bad deal. You can do a DUI victim's panel and/or do a CD...
I was pulled over for drunk driving the other night and I blew a .088. The cop wrote on my ticket thing that the charge was for minor operating a vehicle after alcohol consumption. When he asked if i had been drinking I was honest and told him yes. I was really respectful to the cop and didnt fight anything. What could be the penalties? I looked it up but I couldnt find anything stating the consequences for a person charged with a DUI who is under the age of 18. Also, this is my first time ever dealing with police, so I have no previous record.
I don't practice in Washington, but more than likely you will get a summons to appear in juvenile court. In theory they...
Considering I have no traffic or court record I'm assuming ( and so says my PD) I will soon be convicted of DUI with min. penalties across the board. I have a few questions regarding the DOL: Is an interlock device required to get my license back or can I just wait out my suspension? ( I can't afford it) The dol will probably judge my suspension time on the basis of not only the DUI (.13 BAC), but a one car collision involving my bumper and a guardrail. (only damage done was to the paint). How long should I expect to be suspended for?
On a first offense DUI where you blew in the BAC machine you don't have to loose your license at all IF YOU have a...
I'm a 20 year old college student. Got a DUI in my hometown of Vancouver (Clark County). I have no criminal record traffic accidents or even tickets. Decided I thought I could drive home from a friends after having some (kinda more than some) wine, and got pulled over, he smelled the alcohol on my breath and the rest is history. I blew a .135. My court date has not arrived and I have no lawyer. Being a under 21 (by 4 months!) do I qualify for a diversion? I don't think I want a deferred prosecution b/c I don't want to lie and say I have an alcohol problem and do 2 years of treatment. If qualify for a diversion, how do I go about getting that?
You are jumping the gun here! You have to officially get charged because if you blew a .13 on the BAC you will...
Im 20 years old. Blew a .135. No criminal record or traffic violations. I was planning on getting a public defender but I'm thinking I need someone experienced to help me out here. What should I expect to pay for a private attorney? How can I pay for one since I don't even have $1000 to my name?
It's good that you are taking the initiative (I think you've posted 3 or 4 times now) but I don't think any of these...
2004 vehicular assault charge which my attorney recommended that I not use diversion and now I cannot because I already have a felony... Wa state. Is the 3 hours after being pulled over an admissible blood draw?
Although it cannot be used for a per se violation, it may be used to prove that your ability to drive was appreciably...
