Annapolis police have charged a 19-year-old man in connection to the armed robbery and pistol-whipping of a pedestrian two weeks ago in the city's Robinwood community. Colando Colbert, 19, of Captains Circle in Annapolis, has been charged with armed robbery, robbery, first- and second-degree assault, theft and a related gun charge, according to online court records. Just before midnight, police were called to the 1400 block of Tyler Ave. in the Robinwood section of the Annapolis after reports of a shooting. Officers at the scene did not find a victim, but at 12:45 a.m. Saturday, 17-year-old boy was admitted to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg. Comment?

An Annapolis man who was awaken by his dog barking, then heard his pickup truck starting and saw it drive away, attempted to chase down the driver who stole it early Friday morning. The 23-year-old Chelsea Court resident told police officers that he just woke up when he heard his 2008 Chevrolet Silverado start and speed away. Comment?

Detectives from the Annapolis Police Department on Wednesday arrested Ronnie Downs, 22, of Glen Burnie for the shooting that occurred July 11 in the 1300 block of Tyler Avenue. Reginald Butler, 25, and Reno Green, 24, both of Annapolis, suffered from gunshot wounds. Comment?
