MN resident with a permanent resident card and Canadian citizen. Can I freely travel across the US/Canada boarder? If I can, should I expect any surprises or disclose my conviction before asked?
You'd have to review the terms of your OR or bail. You'll have to speak to a consulate for any boarder issues going...
We just got pulled over and the officer refused to show us the radar gun are they allowed to deny u to see ur speed? And when leaving the 43mph zone like he said it was we passed a sign saying 70 mph how can we fight this in court if it is possible to do so? Or is it even worth it?
There are multiple ways an officer can allege a person is speeding: radar, lidar, timing, and pacing. Two of those...
Even though while living in California i was under informal probation. When the state does an investigation of my home and sees I'm living with the protected person from my Domestic violence charge what are the chances they will arrest me or deny my application to live in this state? I am currently in ND under temporary residence awaiting approval from both CA an ND to live here. And have once before done the ca mandated 52 week course and completed only got another day charge because I called the police on myself. Can I live here and do the courses while still being with my boyfriend (the protected person)
Your question is somewhat confusing so I want to make sure I have it straight before answering. Since you posted in...
I have an OSW for failure to pay fine and cost in Oklahoma. I currently reside in ND. The fine and cost stems from a DUI charge that I pled to. Among the conditions are community service and DUI school, neither of which I have done. I am worried that if I attempt to make resolution for the fine and cost that they will arrest me anyway for not completing the school and/or community service. I was also placed on probation and had to pay an "officer" each month. I haen't had contact with this "officer" for a year now. Is it common or even likely that Oklahoma would agree to pay to extradite me from North Dakota over something like this?
Most states do not extradite for misdemeanors, but it does happen. The thing to do is get this all cleared up by hiring...
treatment. I was in a relapse prevention program and relapsed. Now she says I need outpatient treatment. Can I hold her to her original evaluation? Can I seek a new evaluation? Am I in violation of probation for not completing the recommended treatment when I, in fact, was in enrolled and the treatment plan was changed on me? I'd like to get my DL back someday as well, but I am more concerned about a probation violation. What do I do next? My one year isn't up yet, but I am getting close.
Evaluations are based on current circumstances and in your case; Circumstances changed when you relapsed. So, the...
Almost a month ago I was involved in a car accident. I was not the driver and the other passengers were not at the scene when the ambulance arrived. I was hospitalized for five days and released . I suffered a broken neck, ribs, and internal damage. I was unconscious for quite some time. Since being released from the hospital I have heard nothing about the accident from any law enforcement. Has this come to an end, or if they never talked to the other passengers, will they believe that I was the only person in the vehicle. Could they charge me for DUI or other charges. Should know by now?
First of all, I hope you have a speedy and complete recovery from your injuries. When it comes to investigation of...
