Presidential disaster declaration approved for October blizzard

Gov. Dennis Daugaard announced Friday that 14 South Dakota counties and two Indian reservations will receive federal financial help to recover from an October blizzard that closed roads, downed power lines and killed thousands of livestock.

Cattle losses 'mounting up' West River; relief fund established
