After weeks of contentious negotiations, the state legislature is expected to produce a map Friday that redraws boundaries of Kentucky's six congressional districts.

Unemployment rates fell in 114 Kentucky counties between December 2010 and December 2011, while six county rates increased, according to the Kentucky Office of Employment and Training, an agency of the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet.

The unemployment rate for Jefferson County fell to 9 percent in December, from 9.2 percent in November and 10 percent in December 2010, the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet reported Thursday.

The Kentucky Office of Employment and Training says 114 counties reported that jobless rates fell from December 2010 to December 2011.
