Doris Fern VanTassel was born on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25, 1915, in Kent, to Ralph and Myrtle VanTassel.

The Wilkin County Sheriff's Office is dealing with the aftermath of a Wednesday incident in Rothsay that began with a stolen car and ended with a man in traffic on Interstate Highway 94.
