Evacuation of some homes was begun on Peterson Road. The possibility of storms will continue through most of the night as storms at 8 p.m. were moving from the west into Wilbarger County and could continue their track into Wichita County.

Linda Stewart/Special to the Times Record News Cutlines:Rhodia, a local guar derivative production company in Vernon, will undergo a $20 million to $25 million expansion project, thanks to an incentive package offered by the Vernon Business Development Corporation and local taxing entities.

A letter signed by Wilbarger County Attorney Cornell D. Curtis on the mailbox at Tangarie Alternative Power says the company, which promised to bring nearly 100 jobs to Vernon, has defaulted on its lease.
