Wheatland County's Community Enhancement Board will have their first organizational meeting on May 29 to set up the structure of applications and doling out money.

More than a year in the making the Wheatland County Community Enhancement Board is only a month or so from becoming operational.

While the provincial election didn't see an overall change in government many local plans are still on hold awaiting the appointment of a new cabinet.

The down side for many home-owners is finally an upside in Strathmore, as taxes are going up, but thanks to declining property values the actual approximate 4 per cent increase will only amount to about a 2 per cent increase on most bills.

Wheatland County is once again in the midst of setting forth a new contract with their resident volunteer fire associations.
