Matagorda County United Way is launching its 2009-10 campaign with a lively set of fund-raising activities this fall to meet a goal of $450,000. That goal was set to serve United Way's 18 agencies and 22 social-service programs throughout Matagorda and Wharton counties, said MCUW Executive Director Julia Gonzales.
