The Walker County Sheriff's Office has a new way to help keep residents aware of illegal activity happening in their neighborhoods.

TRINITY What could be the same gang of Hispanic men who passed forged checks in 2010 hit a local business last week with phony checks worth $4,826. According to Trinity Police Chief Steve Jones, the two incidents followed the same pattern with groups of Hispanic men passing payroll checks purportedly issued by Trinity Steel.

On Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at approximately 9:00a.m., Detective Stephen Cole of the Walker County Sheriff's Office and Constable Gene Bartee responded to the Emerald Woods Subdivision in New Waverly, Texas, in regards to a Burglary of a Habitation.

A Montgomery County man was taken into custody following an hour and a half standoff with local law enforcement Wednesday afternoon in Huntsville.

An undercover investigation by Walker County law enforcement resulted in the arrests of two suspects for allegedly running an illegal gambling operation in New Waverly.

Two New Waverly High School students were arrested this week after investigators said one of them created a hit list that included school staff and President Obama and the other called in a bomb threat.

Walker County sheriff's deputies said an anonymous caller phoned the front office at New Waverly High School, 9464 Highway 75 South, at 8 a.m. When a secretary answered, the caller threatened to blow up a bomb at the school, deputies said.
