Georgia governor Nathan Deal made a quick stop by the Walker County civic center Thursday, May 2, to ceremoniously sign two state bills into law.

A Rossville woman faces numerous charges after a police chase. According to Walker County Sheriff's Office: Lisa Kay Griffin of Canton Street was arrested following charges of a seatbelt violation, DUI, failure to obey a stop sign, driving on a suspended license, and attempting to elude an officer.
