A A A " Group asks NC lawmakers to repeal 'shoot first' law ," celebrated a recent headline in the Raleigh "News & Observer" which went on to laud "Second Chance: A National Campaign to Reform 'Shoot First' Laws.

If the General Assembly passes their proposed budget, on June 30, 2012 the Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Program of Vance County Schools will lose its funding.

Artists are invited to submit their works for the 46th annual Kerr Lake Art Show, which will be open to the public June 11-15. Older Americans event The Vance County Senior Center will be observing Older Americans Month by having a fun day on Wednesday.
