Census estimates show growth for Houston, Bibb counties but losses for Baldwin and Twiggs

Despite a tough economy, growth in Houston County has continued at about the same pace as a decade ago, and Bibb County saw a relatively large population surge when compared to the previous 10 years.

Twiggs, Butler receive state loans for water and sewer improvements

Twiggs County and the city of Butler have received financing through the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority for water and sewer system improvements, according to a GEFA news release.

Forest Hill Road plans get thumbs-up

A Macon-area transportation planning organization officially adopted plans to begin construction on Forest Hill Road and the extension of Sardis Church Road in the next year.
