Trigg County Board of Education members unanimously passed a "tentative budget" for the 2012/2013 Fiscal Year when they met Thursday night.

A bridge that was heavily damaged by a barge in southern Kentucky earlier this year is weeks away from re-opening. The repairs to Eggners Ferry Bridge, which is located near the Land Between the Lakes recreation area, are set to be complete by Memorial Day.

Keith Todd of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said the span was brought by three barges from the Eddyville Riverport to the bridge on Monday - a trip of about 30 miles.
