STC third graders enjoy Progressive Agriculture Safety Day
The third graders attended sessions on how to take responsibility for their own safety, respect parents' safety rules and share safety tips with their family and friends, said Darla Thiessen, coordinator of the event from the Tama County Extension Office.

Tama, Toledo fire departments, ambulance services search for missing elderly man
9:30 p.m.- Firefighters and ambulance personnel from Tama and Toledo joined Meskwaki Nation Tribal Police and the Tama County Sheriff's Office in the search for a missing 80-year-old man who is believed to have walked or wandered away from a home in the 200 block of West Quail Road on the Meskwaki Settlement Monday evening.
