Decide Tama casino license next week
The long-awaited decision by the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission on whether an application for a state casino license for Tama will be accepted is expected on Thursday, July 16.
Tama Police Officer Nathan Shepard will be moving to part-time on the five-member force.
County reaches agreement for lease of Care Facility
Tama County and Genesis Development has reached an agreement for the lease of the Country Care facility located at 2480 K Avenue, Toledo.
Carnival worker faces attempted murder charge
A carnival employee from St. Louis was being held last week in the Tama County jail on an attempted murder charge stemming from an alleged assault of a fellow carnival worker in Gladbrook which was reported at 2:27 a.m. on June 23.
For years the Gladbrook Lions Club has manned and run the 4-H Food Stand. Last year it was decided amongst the group that they could no longer take this on.
