I think you are dealing with a pyromaniac, not an arsonist. Whoever is doing this has some serious mental problems. Y'all should take turns staying up at night and keep a watch on the properties. Also, keep an eye on who goes to each fire. Pyromaniacs love to watch the destruction.

If anyone calls the gas company and makes a complaint about there being a gas leak, they quickly respond and use a handhelp detector to determine whether there is a leak or not. This detector can be used inside or outside of the home and they all know the locations and directions that the gas lines run from the meters to the houses. I do not believe that the gas complany is responsible for this terrible disaster. Mountaineer Gas is in no way responsible for household appliances that use gas and are defected. If you do have supsicion that one of your appliances may be defective they will gladly come to your home and check for a leak at no charge. If this was such a serious problems for the Martins and Lillys then why did they not purchase a carbon monoxide detector (which no home should be without)? The gas company will probably not be held responsible for this because how will it be proven?

Well, I guess we know that answer then don't we. You don't know anymore about that incident then we do. So why do you quickly come to conclusions on who is or isn't responsible. From my understanding the gas company was informed of a "possible" gas leak and they did not respond. So in my opinion if this comes out to be true of a gas leak then yes I do believe the gas company should be held resopnsible. Also, did it not occur to you when you made your statement about the tenants of those houses that they are elderly or some what elderly and maybe they didn't have the funds or the means to put up those detectors. I have come to realize that you don't judge or jump to conclusions about anyone without knowing the facts of their life because those things quickly come back and bite you 10 times harder.

Has it occured to either of you jackasses that a carbon monoxide detector, detects already burned gas. With that said, tell me what good would that device have done?

You dumbass...if you think...the dector MAYBE COULD HAVE warned them if there was a GAS LEAK in the house. Before you call ANYONE NAMES you need to look in the mirror honey because you are probably the BIGGEST jackass of them all.

Huh? You say we all know is responsibile--I haven't seen, heard, or read anything to indicate who this person(s) may be. Please enlighten us!! I think you meant to say "accidents".

Still, a Carbon Monoxide Dectector would only notify u of a gas exhaust leak not gas. Now if there is a consumer version of a gas sniffer that warn the consumer that unburned gas is present in the area before you could smell it that maybe would help. from the Big Jack Ass.

but doesnt it seem a little strange the fire department has answered several gas smell or related calls in the past weeks including another explosion that occured in a basement. and why did they come and get the meter so quickly from the burnt house? makes me wonder

How would you explain the latest fire in an abandon house?
Also, if the problem was a gas leak, what caused the fire? A gas leak causes an explosion, not a fire. Those houses should have been leveled like match sticks. Think of the explosion at Ghent.
I think you're responsible for the inside of your home, not the gas company.
I'm sure they would tell you if they suspected a gas leak, though. They are pretty good about that. I have gas and they wouldn't turn on my gas until I fixed the leak.
It is my understanding that the fire marshall will make an announcement sometime this week.

It is not the "MO" of the Hinton Arsonist to start a fire in an occupied home. The arsonist prefers vacant buildings. My personal opinion those homes were not a result of the arsonist. However, the one which burned the same night as the Big Four Robbery, that I believe was the arsonist.

At any rate Cleo's goon squad will never solve the case, we must depend on the Fire Marshalls to solve it. She has lost her marbles and don't know where to find them. Vote No for Cleo!!!!
