A Sumrall man headed to the Gulf Coast for the Memorial Day weekend was killed in an accident on U.S. 49 south in Perkinston Friday morning.

A Biloxi woman was arrested today after she crashed into barricades set up for pedestrian safety at the Gulfport Music Festival, then crashed a second time after police said she made an illegal u-turn. Gulfport police arrested Heather Marie Diers, 22, and charged her with one count of driving under the influence, second offense.
