Great job, Duncan Public Schools! Superintendent Sherry Labyer and Assistant Superintendent Glenda Cobb (the "Good 'Ole Girls" system at work) are probably pretty busy trying to put a "spin" on this one.(In The Daily Oklahoman it says the school system has "No comment" on this story. LOL...yeah, really???!!) No background check on this substitute? Dishonorably discharged from the military? Hello????? That doesn't give you a clue that maybe he's not teacher material??? However, one does have to wonder....how did this guy get the student's number to text her? Anyway, someone dropped the ball on allowing this guy anywhere near a classroom!

You will be discharged if you commit a felony. There are thieves everywhere how ever, I do not agree and All felony's are not bad and not only that. Those young ladies had been going out with the young man as word on the streets.. Where is the parents at and why are they at the EDGE in the first place being able to be propositioned. if they were at Duncan High School getting an education. as my understanding EDGE is for students that are dropouts, bad characters, young pre teen pregnancy, and Disobedient children who disobey their parents and are at the EDGE of making bad mistakes in their lives and need to be turned around, need GUIDANCE.

Very insightful comment... You honestly think these girls "deserved" it or are to blame? They are too young to make those decisions and are the last group of people who should be put in such situations. They should be even more careful about who they hire to be around these young, vulnerable, and underprivileged femaale students!

In 1997 just out of college at the later age of 41, I wanted to substitute. However, it was on my record that I had a DUI in 1987. This was still on record although the blood test came back negative which did not surprise me after 1 beer. I was in the store and next to an officer who could evidently smell alcohol and followed me. When my signal did not work I was pulled over-though not guilty, the officer was just doing her job and I am glad that she was on the ball. I was told by the education department that they could not have people it was implied " like me "teaching their kids. At that time I had not used alcoholic beverages of any sort in 8 years and now it has been close to 20. I have a good job now and it is helping with underprivaleged students. I would never think of doing something like what is mentioned in the above article. They have lowered the bar on who they accept after a background check.

Daily Horoscope for March 21

Cancer

The day may start off with a bang as friends and associates continue to call, but by evening you're ready to spend some time alone. The changing Moon enters your twelfth house of secrets and solitude this evening, urging you to spend a quiet night recharging your spiritual batteries. If you must attend a social function, you may find it is easier to listen to others than to say much yourself.
