Sheridan County looks at rules for wind turbines
The Sheridan County Planning and Zoning Commission has voted to start amending zoning rules for small wind generators to make it easier for people to put them in their yards.
Cattlemen seek sweeping changes to brand laws
The Nebraska Cattlemen came away from its December convention with five recommendations, including the removal of brand inspection requirements where the most cattle mix - large feedlots and packing plants.
Nebraska schools would be assured of sharing $880 million in state aid next year under a bill backed by some of the state's largest school districts.
