More than 300 convicted felons showed up at Rock Island County's Justice Center on January 20th to pay overdue fines after they received letters from the county, threatening to send the felons' outstanding debts to a collections agency.

Last Day For Cordova Police

Starting tomorrow, the people of Cordova will be without a police department. The village has been working on an agreement with Port Byron and the Rock Island County Sheriff's Department to share a deputy in place of local police, but as of today, no agreement has been reached.
