$35K In Copper Wire Stolen From Construction Site
Authorities in southwestern Minnesota say about $35,000 worth of copper wire has been stolen from a construction site.
The Redwood County Sheriff's Office says the copper wire was taken from Highwater Ethanol's construction site near Lamberton, which is about 40 miles from Marshall.
The sheriff's office and the Redwood Falls Police Department are investigating and have developed a list of suspects.
The theft happened Sunday, June 1, but authorities waited to announce the theft.
Investigators are hoping someone might have seen something suspicious and will report it.

A 6-year-old boy from southwestern Minnesota is recovering at a Twin Cities hospital after being struck by his school bus.
Authorities said Zachary Thooft of rural Lucan, Minn. was taken to the Redwood Area Hospital Monday and transferred to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. A hospital spokesman said Zachary was in good condition Tuesday.
The Redwood County Sheriff's Department said the school bus unloaded the boy at the intersection of a driveway and his parents' farm site. Authorities said when the bus took off, it struck Zachary. Read more
