By Randy Mitchell Staff Writer VANOSS - Pontotoc County sheriff's deputies were waiting for a phone call Wednesday which would decide the fate of eight reportedly neglected horses.

An artist's reception featuring the work of Robert Hale will be held at Lucas Road Gallery and Frame Shop on Thursday from 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. The gallery is located at 2211 Fifth St., in downtown Meridian.
