Who Took Aim at Troopers in Pike County?

State police are still on the hunt for whoever opened fire on two of their troopers Friday night during shift change. More than 24 hours after the ambush it was quiet and somber at the Blooming Grove barracks, police were no closer to knowing who fired the gun that killed Corporal Bryon Dickson and left Trooper Alex Douglass badly hurt.

Pa. state trooper killed, second injured in barracks ambush

One Pennsylvania state trooper was killed and another injured in what police said was an ambush outside their Pike County barracks Friday night, according to multiple media reports. State Police Commissioner Frank Noonan said the troopers were shot outside the front door of the barracks in Blooming Grove Township at about 10:50 p.m. as one was leaving work and the other was arriving.

Dingmans Ferry men charged with selling

Investigators from the Pike County Detective Bureau, the Pennsylvania State Police, and the Pike County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on a residence in Delaware Township as part of an investigation into sales of heroin and oxycodone, Tonkin said. Police recovered numerous prescription pills and heroin from Walker's residence and vehicle as part of the investigation.
