Pike County in extreme drought

Right now, areas of Alabama east of Interstate 65 and south of Interstate 85, which includes Pike County, are under extreme drought conditions due to lack of rainfall, according to the National Weather Service in Birmingham.

Pike Co. Man Charged with Theft

A joint investigation by the Alabama Forestry Commission and the Pike County District Attorney's Office has resulted in an arrest for theft of a 1995 logging trailer valued at $10,000. John David Mills, Jr., aged 36 of Goshen, was charged with Theft in the First Degree.
