An Okeechobee father has been arrested on a child abuse charge after deputies found bruises on his 3-month-old daughter.

State officials have moved convicted serial killer Fred Waterfield from Okeechobee County to Hardee County because of population adjustments, security reasons and publicity related to last month's execution of David Alan Gore Waterfield, who is serving life in prison, spent the last three years at the Okeechobee Correctional Institution .

The blaze happened in the 100 block of Ranch Road near 268th Street about 3 p.m. Tuesday, said Melissa Yunas , wildfire mitigation specialist for the forest service.
