Voter turnout in all but two Tribland counties for Tuesday's primary election exceeded the statewide average turnout, the Nebraska Secretary of State's Office reported.

The National Weather Service office in Hastings says small tornadoes touched down Saturday west of Byron in Nuckolls County and east of Deshler in Thayer County.

Following a Sept. 7 traffic study at the intersection of Third and Bloom streets in Superior, the Nebraska Department of Roads found there was insufficient traffic there to warrant a traffic signal.
