The Mississippi Department of Transportation says a wide load that will be traveling through Noxubee and Kemper counties, starting Wednesday morning.

For the third month in a row, the number of unemployed workers in Lowndes and Oktibbeha counties decreased.

When construction began a couple of weeks ago on a $6.5 million cotton gin in Noxubee County, it may have signaled a change in Mississippi agriculture that experts have been pointing to nationally for more than a year.

"From the original grower meeting to a done deal took 11 days," says Mississippi cotton grower Glenn Mast, one of the stockholders in a new $6.5 million cotton gin now under construction in east Mississippi near Brooksville.

The Mississippi Innocence Project at the University of Mississippi School of Law, along with the university's Media and Documentary Projects Center, scrutinizes that issue in their documentary "Mississippi Innocence," set to air at 9 p.m. Thursday on Mississippi Public Broadcasting.
