This is a terrible loss. The poor man in the van and his family, that no one seems to know. And Phillip was always a good man. I can't imagine the pain his family is going through. I don't know what really happend but he will be missed. My prayers go out to both of their families and friends.

I'm the son in law of Lewis Legg. He was buried today at the family resting place.

I wouldn't say that it is old news! People who are not affected by this tragedy seem to be the ones causeing the most uproar on here, not the ones directly affected by this.

Like I stated before what happened is in the police report. If you want to know go get a copy of it.

Both familys are greving and hurt, what is done is done and no amount of complaining will change anything, it will only cause more drama which no one needs.

Lou was a hard working and honest man who took care on many people, and will be missed by many.

Arthur, I posted on the previous forum. We are faceless friends. Continue to be strong for your family. Let the comforter do his mighty work. Ignore what others say. Alot of these posts are merely for stirring up anger and strife. This is no time for such evil. Just keep praying for God to have his perfect work in the lives of all involved.

Lou was a big teddy bear his bark was a lot louder than his bite. This may be old news to you but not to me he IS my dad. He was the greatest man I ever knew and would have done anything for anyone. He did so much for everyone else and not enough for himself. But, that weekend he was going hunting (like every other yr) w/my brother Brian and w/ 3 of his own brothers. We never expected anything like this. Dad was a very loving and caring man, he was my rock I could talk w/him about anything and he would just sit there and listen until I was done. My son would go to work w/him because dad owned a heating and cooling company. My 10yr old son was so close w/him. So buddy just an FYI this isn't old news for some of us. I LOVE YOU DAD!!!!!!! to Wonder How

Just a piece of advice. WE don't WANT you to say anything. You might be the kind of man people will forget after 5 days, but LOU LEGG was was the kind of man who will be remembered forever. We just buried him yesterday and it was one of the saddest days of my life. It is not OLD news. The shock hasn't even worn off. He was one of the greatest men I've had the priveledge of knowing - he was my father-in-law, my husband's dad. So if this is old news to you, go find something better to do besides spreading your hateful words on here. I'm sure noone cares what you have to say about THIS.

To Lou's family. Please don't even respond to the moronic posts of some. Most of us feel your pain, your loss. Your lives will never be the same. Believe it when I say that some of us mourn with you and rejoice with you in knowing that Lou is in a much better place as hard as that is to comprehend right now. May Jesus speak peace to you and your family. And, old news? We are still grieving over the passing of a family member and it has been almost five years. I don't EVER want to forget and it isn't old news to my family. We deal everyday. Keep your daddy in your thoughts everyday. Talk about him openly to anyone who cares enough to listen.

To both of the families affected, I never got on this site till now, I attended a funeral today myself, a tragic death of a young man. I was told about some hurtful comments made on here concerning him and reported it to have them removed. Just happened to see this post. I am so sorry for the loss of your loved ones. People can be so hurtful and mean. Not everyone in this town is so uncaring. It was a tragedy and so sad that two men lost their lives. My prayers go out to both families that their hurt and pain can be eased. My prayers also go out to everyone on this site that they may open their eyes and not be so hurtful. Get a heart. My last time on this post. Very sad deaths, your families and friends are in my thoughts. May God Bless

I hope that all people on here will keep both of these families in thier prayers. Niether one of these men should have died but I guess we all have a time that is set for us. I am sure both families will dearly miis them. I did not know the Legg family but really feel for them.
I knew some of the Green Family and pray for all of them during this time. The worst thing that bothers me is the fact that Mr. Green was not even allowed to have a funeral by his wife. I don't see how any human could feel so little for thier mate. His brother had to begg to even get a 10 minute viewing of the body and even then the funeral home was not allowed to dress him ,put him in a proper coffin, or even comb his her out of spit by his wife. This is about the worst behavior I have ever heard of after a person passing away.Even an animal has some rights. I guess our countries laws do not allow for common deciency for the dead when a wife is allowed to treat the deceased this bad and his blood family. I hope you will all pray for his wife and family.

Why is it when something tragic like that happens people like you have to automatically get on topix and start a discussion about it? Seriously, mind your own business.

To: Saddened by Evil and others that are Condemming

Did you offer to help this bereaved wife with the cost of the funeral?

The cost of a traditional funeral
According to the U.S. Federal Trade Commission: "A traditional funeral, including a casket and vault, costs about $6,000, although 'extras' like flowers, obituary notices, acknowledgment cards or limousines can add thousands of dollars to the bottom line.

Many funerals run well over $10,000.
The cost of the burial is additional.

Here's one example:

Professional and administrative services (embalming, funeral home staff during the visitation, and so on)...$1,650

Facilities and equipment (preparation room, visitation room, reception room, chapel)...$850

Transportation (transfer from the place of death, funeral limousine, and cars for the family)...$450

Merchandise (casket, vault, prayer cards, temporary grave marker)...$2,515

Cash disbursements (flowers, cemetery plot, obituary, death certificates, honorariums, headstone)...$1,828

Total (not including taxes)...$7,293

Did you stop to think that Some people opt to not put their spouse through the expense and turmoil of dealing with a traditional funeral.

Do you know this for a fact or is it just something you heard? People shouldnt say something hurtful about a family that is already hurting that they don't know to be true! Maybe, JUST MAYBE his wife is in a LOT of pain right now and could not bear to see him dead. Ive been there myself. Maybe Phillip's family wanted to have the service how they did. And maybe someone could consider the thought that those children do not care how he died. All they know is that they lost their dad(whether biological or not). And I do think Misty really loved Phillip. I have seen them together on several occasions. IDK what really happened. But I do know that nobody else does either, not for sure. Only Phillip and Mr. Legg really know for sure. I feel so bad for both families and my prayers go out to them as I know how it feels to lose a loved one all too well as I have lost several of my close family members just in the past few years. I think in a small town rumors get spread so much and so quickly that people start to believe things as fact. I dont know Misty that well but I like her from what I know of her and dont believe she is the evil monster everyone wants to make her out to be. People should NOT spread evil rumors about stuff they dont know as fact! Would you like someone to speak evil of you or your family if it wasnt true? Do you think those kids want to go back to school and have other kids tell them about all the rumors they have overheard their parents saying(cause they will) about their dad?
As for Mr. Legg's family, may God give you peace through this hard time!

Help was offered to his wife and I know this for a fact. What did go on at funeral home was paid for by some of the Green family and she would not allow for even a preacher to be present.. She did not pay anything and did not even show up or allow children to go. I know all about cost of funeral since I have buried 3 in last 2 years in my family.

I do know this all as fact and not rumor. It was not what Philip wanted it was just done to spite his family. I did not say any of this to be hurtful to the Green family they have allready been hurt enough by not being allowed to have a proper funeral for Philip.

How bout this..Stop talking about it..You people don't need to worry about who paid what and who done what. Leave that family alone...I think they have enough to handle as it is then have people on this fucking internet with fake names typing up shit they hear...no one will know the truth about what happened nor will anyone know what all went on.. So, just get on with ur lives... okay? The least you can do is pray everyone is getting better for the loss of a loved one and hope another tragedy doesn't happen again

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Capricorn

You'll have difficulty finding equilibrium in your emotional life at the moment; try to control the impulsive side of your character. At work, your usual powers of intuition will be clouded. Fits of feverishness may bother you and break down your energy. If you can get out into the countryside for a walk, you'll feel much better.
