Suspect posts reduced bond; counts tossed

A Nicholas County man jailed this week on $12 million bond was released Friday after 375 of 400 sexual assault counts against him were dismissed and his bond was reduced. via Register-herald.com

I've been working out of town and am just now getting around to responding to this. John Morton is from the Lockwood area. That's probably why he lowered the scum's bond. The 12 million dollar bond that Magistrate Gordon set was only fitting for a crime like this. Now that Morton lowered it, he's out walking the streets. I have a young child myself, and it makes me sick to think about this happening to any innocent child. We need more magistrates like Gordon who aren't afraid to tie up the courts with worthwhile cases.

That man from Lockwood had one bond set, then got off easier because another Magistrate lowered the first bond. Doesn't sound like justice to me.
