Wow, what a strong prosecutor under these circumstances. Maybe he was worried he would be unable to get a conviction on this evidence so he gave such a lovely skating deal. The driver almost killed every kid,and that lazy good for nothing prosecutor brags of his minimum plea. What a way to enforce the law and make an example. I guess poor old Rod was afraid to lose the case, even with the slam dunk evidence. It would be a real possibility, given his less than stellar performance in the past. Come election day, tell Rod the county deserves better. He does nothing on that fat goverment salary except help his own. We need a real prosecutor with ethics and ability. Rod just ain't it. He is a nice good old boy, but like the rest of the good old boys, he needs to go for the good of the county.

Molher is a joke! This outcome was a slap in the face of the people that elected him. Oh, but wait, every conviction he has worked in is. He is spineless and does nothing for the good people of Monroe county. Apparently his home has never been broken into, car never stolen, father never shot, drunk driver never driven his kids to school, and all of the other cases that he has dropped the ball with. I know if my kids were on that bus, I'd probably be on the bus to southern regional for whipping his ass for letting him off so easy.

i still can't beleive it when i read that article. is rod so dumb that he thinks he is looking good by bragging to the papers about giving some guy the minimum setence when the guy just wrecked a bus full of kids while driving drunk. what an idiot! I mean he basically said "we know he was drinking right before he started driving these kids to school but based upon his 'past'(whatever that means) i am going to give him the minimum. he should have said "now if he was out jumping the bus and nearly killed three girls i would have let him off totally." jeeze this county better wake up on election day!
