Boeing wins key round in Air Force tanker protest

Officials in Mobile are disappointed with a ruling by congressional investigators upholding Boeing's protest of a $35 billion Air Force tanker contract awarded to Northrop Grumman Corp.

It is apparent the GAO has been impacted by the public relations war that played out in the media. Boeing spent millions of dollars on an advertising attack, and it is disgraceful they have hoodwinked Americans into thinking Boeing offers a better product. Based on the facts of the two proposals it is clear Northrop Grumman's KC-45 is a far superior aircraft than Boeing's offering.

yeah you should see the one tat the australian airforce is getting the kc45,what a plane.they just bought another one into australia to be converted into a tanker for our airforce.the base where they are going has already been upgraded for these planes as well.

Actually, the GAO press release said nothing about the merits of the two airplanes; only that the Air Force failed to follow its own procesess during the source selection.

However, Boeing is certainly waging a disinformation campaign with it's "buy American" crap. I guess Mobile, Alabame is no longer part of America.

As an aside... I wonder how many Boeng execs are driving Mercedes automobiles built in the United States?
