Town, Boro to probe merger

The separate governing bodies representing Princeton Borough and Princeton Township have formally agreed to explore the possibility of merging or sharing some of their overlapping services and resources, The Times of Trenton reported on Tuesday.

Registration is still open for the second annual Central New Jersey Council, BSA Stride for Scouting, a 5K Run/Walk and 1-Mile Run/Walk. All net proceeds from the event, which will take place on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Thompson Park in Monroe Township, will go the improving programs for the over 18,100 Scouts in the Central New Jersey Council.

Seven N.J. State Police troopers accused in sex assault are suspended without pay

Seven state troopers who were not criminally charged after they were accused of sexually assaulting a Rider University student have been suspended without pay after rejecting a plea deal stemming from an internal investigation, according to an attorney for the officers and court papers.
