Revitalization group keeps planning

The best way to revamp the square is to follow a master plan from start to finish, agreed 10 committee members last week at a Macon County Revitalization, Inc., meeting at Lafayette City Hall.

Our county commisoners and public leaders are worried about everything but what's important. GET SOME JOBS IN HERE. then maybe our kids want have to move away to get one.Our leaders and the ones with money are worrid about every little stupid thing but jobs.We need some young blood to take over the county.

We DESPERATELY need a civic/youth center for the citizans of our county. It could benefit everyone with our young and old having a place to be active. Just think- yoga, swimming, inside track, basketball/volleyball courts,raquetball, weight room, etc!
It is a shame that our leaders cannot see beyond their own "wants" to help the community become a better place for families, and instead waste money on a welcome center that can only tell how far behind we are the rest of the world. Tacky... but who benefitted from that decision? |

all i know is ol' shelvy linville hasn't lived up to his soapbox promise of his
"promise to bring jobs to Macon County". i mean sure - a few small businesses have opened (and closed) but really... where's all the industrial stuff he promised to bargain for? economic slump or not - clarksville is getting bigger, murfreesboro is growing by leaps & bounds, lebanon is gaining many, many contracts. it's our time to grow too! |
