Commissioners vote to retire police dog Buzz
Macon County Commissioners tackled a lengthy agenda in a nearly three-hour Committee of the Whole meeting on Mon., May 7. The first item passed on to the full body meeting was a resolution to retire Deputy K-9 Buzz, a Belgian Malinois who has served the Macon County Sheriff's Department as a narcotics detection officer.
RBS Gas bid motion to be heard September 15
Receivership Management, of Brentwood, TN, filed a motion in Chancery Court, on August 31, to accept the $250,000 bid for the RBS Gas Company submitted by Community Initiatives, a nonprofit organization in Cookeville, according to Rob Moore the Chief Operating Officer for Receivership Management.
