A fictional character or movie star is not going to come to Deming and run for Sheriff. Be more real.
"Banana Republic". This is a blast on the Village of Columbus, granted however, that it may be true because of the actions of the current Mayor.

Who does that leave? No one in Luna County?
These are attacks are on every living person in Luna County, including Deming and Columbus.

Not everyone here is. Not everyone is disgruntled either. Pissedoff, angry, and I can understand why. Topix is permitting them to vent, and post and discuss events in our towns. The best thing that has happened to Deming in 50 years. Some have difficulty expressing without getting po'd.
I find this, Topix, and the posting good for our community. Sure people will "Blaze" or "Flame" SO WHAT? thats to the "Names can never harm me thing".
When a list comes about, and people on that list live here and that list is a threat to people on it, and it is not made public by the police and those names are on it due to association with "Criminal Drug runners"
That is crossing the line of free speech. Like yelling "Fire" in a crowded movie theater.
But everyone on that list should be wary as similar lists in Juarez have resulted in police and those named... being killed. ANd every one on that list, if a cop, should be interviewed by police to answer some serious questions. Like;
Why are you on it? Others on it were corrupt police from Mexico,are You? Others on it were involved in drug trafficking are you? Catch my drift there RACERX? Others posted some interesting information about a shooting of a local man and that the actions may have crossed the lines of a civil rights issue. The shooting was not done by drug runners, it was done by the Sheriff! Then the sheriff has promoted those who shot the old man. The turn-over of police in the area, the Chief of Police in Columbus is new every other month (or so it seems). There another stone or two tossed.
The school bond and the efforts to continue the school bond even after its failure. The education of students who do not live in the United States but are granted a free pass, the building of a school for some 79 million dollars, The failure of the students to stay in school, a high drop out rate, and the thought a new building will solve it. The shooting of a 12 year old girl standing in the lunch line in the back of the head by another 12 year old and they were both from Mexico attending our school system. WHat did this teach our kids? Another stone thrown.
Ordinance 37. What did this tell us about our elected officials? Since when is it a criminal offense to threaten to jail someone for 90 days and $300.00 to grow tumbleweeds on your land? Or that same penality if your mobilehome was more than one year old?(Original intent of 37). That was a boulder.
And we try to fix the blame and in some sort of odd way, we can. on Topix.
Keep posting. Keep venting. I even find it hard at times to vent without throwing stones, but it is a stone that needed to be thrown, and Deming is getting hammered with rocks in a lot of directions.
Stop calling everone one mental. That would be a start. Of course, thats back to the name calling
and of course those of us who are not mental, can let it ride.
