Prudent anglers heed a sheriff's warning posted at the north access of Lake Washington in Le Sueur County in south-central Minnesota and walk to their fishing spot Wednesday, Feb.

The four were among 27 announced for the state totaling $70,000. The four in this region are: Make Mine Solar in Freeborn, Mower, Olmsted and Steele counties, $5,300 to both increase consumer awareness around solar thermal technologies and decrease the barriers that often slow solar installations.

Yet another outdoor event is canceled. It's an annual tradition in southern Minnesota the Anthony Ford Pond Hockey Tournament.

LE SUEUR COUNTY, Minn. - Another warning coming just this morning from the the Le Sueur County Sheriff's Office strongly recommending that there be no further vehicle travel on any Le Sueur County lakes.
