The six public school districts in Lavaca County celebrated Friday the results of the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills accountability ratings.

A Lavaca County grand jury recently returned indictments against 19 people. Dale Ray Babbitt, 48, of Victoria, on a charge of driving while intoxicated on June 21, 2008.

Voluntary water restrictions are in affect in this Lavaca County town due to ongoing drought conditions and resulting high water demands, city administrator Deck Shaver said.
