Published online 12/10/2009 9:53 PM Greensburg Mayor Bob Dixson and his wife, Ann, will fly into Washington, D.C., on Sunday and attend a White House Christmas reception Monday before returning to Greensburg on Tuesday.

They lost everything. People living in the Kiowa County town of Greensburg are busy rebuilding homes and businesses, two and half years after a tornado destroyed the town.

A Kiowa County man has been charged with murder in the death of his wife. Mark Ralstin, 39, was charged with first degree murder during a brief court hearing in Kiowa County today.

The suspect was taken into custody Friday and is being held in the Reno County jail in the death of the 35-year-old woman from Kiowa County.

Some Kiowa County students are getting some time off school...because too many kids are sick.

Schools in Kiowa County have been closed this week due to illness. Classes at Delmer Day Elementary and Kiowa County Junior High will be dismissed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
