Board talks $30.8M courthouse annex

West Branch man charged in controlled cocaine purchase

Police say 30-year-old Juan C. Orozco sold an ounce of cocaine in a controlled drug sale conducted by members of the Johnson County Drug Task Force at about 8:45 p.m. Monday near the Iowa City Walmart at 919 Highway 1. Soon after the drug purchase, police pulled over Orozco's vehicle and took him into custody, according to police.

Police seek help investigating robbery

According to Iowa City police, at 2:54 a.m. Sunday, the Johnson County Emergency Communications Center received a report of a cab driver who was assaulted as she attempted to pick up a fare in the 1000 block of Fifth Avenue in Iowa City.
